Attorney Profiles Judson M. CarusoneJud Carusone received his Bachelor of Arts in English from Hamilton College in 1989. He is a 1993 graduate of the University of Oregon School of Law and is licensed to practice in the States of Idaho and Oregon, and on several Indian Reservations. For the first ten years of his practice, he worked exclusively in Legal Aid programs providing services ranging from direct services to those receiving public assistance, landlord-tenant matters, protection of victims of domestic violence, representation of Indian families in juvenile court matters, and representation of Indian tribes as general and special counsel. Since entering private legal practice, Jud has focused primarily on representing debtors and creditors in bankruptcy, including representing consumer debtors and small business debtors, as well as conducting a general litigation practice in the areas of civil rights, family law, divorce and business startup. Jud has served as an adjunct professor at the University of Oregon School of Law, and assisted with several clinic programs. He has served on the board of directors for a variety of organizations, including the Real Good Food Co-operative, doing business as Food Front, in Portland, Oregon, a natural foods store with annual sales of about $5,000,000; Wisdom of the Elders, which is dedicated to recording and preserving Native American oral histories and promoting cross-cultural events in art and music; and the policy board for the Portland Chapter of the National Lawyers Guild, an organization which he has been a member of since 1991.
